The Story Behind Our Visit to Osaka Farm Amadeo

One lazy Sunday, Jam and I found ourselves with a bit of free time — no plans, no errands, just a craving for something new.

I wanted to take her out on a simple date, something relaxing yet different from our usual Tagaytay food trips. I was on the lookout for a place that had nature vibes, good food, and of course — great coffee.

While browsing online, I stumbled upon Osaka Farm in Amadeo, Cavite — a Japanese-inspired café and restaurant that seemed promising. The place looked charming, a bit tucked away, and surprisingly, not yet crowded or viral. It had decent reviews, a peaceful setting, and that countryside charm that felt perfect for a quiet escape.

And just like that, I knew this was the spot. All the things I was hoping for — a nature-filled vibe, comforting food, and a place where Jam and I could simply slow down — seemed to come together in this little corner of Amadeo.

So off we went on a spontaneous Sunday drive, not knowing what to expect — but hoping for a relaxing date to remember.

📍 Location & Ambience: Japan-Inspired Feels in the Heart of Cavite

Osaka Farm is nestled in the peaceful town of Amadeo, Cavite, just a short drive from Tagaytay and easily accessible from most towns in Cavite — whether you’re coming from Dasmariñas, Silang, General Trias, or even Trece Martires. If you’re craving a unique food trip close to home, this countryside gem is a solid pick.

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by wide open spaces, fresh air, and that relaxing farm-meets-Japan atmosphere. The place is beautifully laid out with Japanese-inspired details — from red shrine arcs (torii gates) and wooden bridges to traditional swings and lush greenery. It’s the kind of spot where nature and aesthetics meet — perfect for unwinding and taking countless photos.

💬 What We Loved (and Maybe Didn’t)

Every place has its own charm — and Osaka Farm definitely delivered on what we were looking for. But just like with every food trip, we always like to share what stood out and what could be improved.

❤️ What We Loved:

  • The Peaceful and Nature-Filled Ambience
The quiet, countryside setting was exactly what we needed. Surrounded by greenery, rustic wooden structures, and Japanese-inspired elements, it felt like a quick escape from the city without the long drive.

  • Instagrammable Spots Everywhere
From the torii gates and garden bridges to the swings and cabin-style houses, almost every corner looked like it belonged in a photo album or travel reel.

  • Delicious and Comforting Food
Both the ramen and rice bowl were flavorful, served fresh, and priced just right. No misses in what we ordered — we genuinely enjoyed every bite.

  • Coffee with Personality
The Osaka Blend and Tennoji Blend weren’t your usual café drinks — they had personality, flavor, and a little surprise in every sip. You can tell there was thought put into their specialty drinks.

  • Excellent Customer Service
One thing that made our visit even better was the staff. The server who assisted us was friendly, approachable, and very accommodating. He answered all our questions with a smile — from explaining the cabin house accommodations and their pricing, to giving us helpful cultural tips when we rented a kimono.

We even learned that when wearing a kimono, the left side should always be placed over the right — because the opposite is traditionally used for the deceased. A small but meaningful detail that showed their respect for Japanese culture.

  • Fast and Smooth Service
Despite being in a laid-back, open-air setup, the food was served quickly and efficiently. No long waits, just great service all throughout.

  • Spacious Parking and Cozy Vibe
The wide parking area made the visit stress-free, and the calm surroundings made it easy to relax and enjoy the moment.

🤔 What Could Be Better:

  • Limited Food Choices
While we truly enjoyed what we ordered, the menu is still quite limited — and during our visit, several items were also unavailable. It might feel restricting if you’re hoping to try a wide variety. That said, it’s not a dealbreaker at all. The quality of what’s available still makes it worth a visit.

  • Open-Air Setup Can Get Hot During Peak Hours
The restaurant is fully open-air with no air conditioning, only fans — which adds to the natural vibe, but also means it can get quite warm especially around noon or early afternoon. Thankfully, the surrounding fresh air and greenery help balance that out a bit.

All in all, Osaka Farm gave us everything we needed — peace, good food, great coffee, and a relaxing space to enjoy each other’s company. The genuine service and thoughtful details made the experience even more memorable.

🎎 Extra Experiences: Kimono, Cabins & A Walk Through Nature

What makes Osaka Farm more than just a food stop is the extra layer of experience they offer — it’s not just about eating, it’s about immersing in a vibe.

👘 Kimono Rental Experience

One thing that made our visit extra fun and unique was their kimono rental service. For just ₱200, you can wear a traditional-style kimono and explore the farm in full Japanese-inspired fashion. It adds such a nice touch to the photos and makes you feel like you’ve been transported straight to Kyoto!

Before putting it on, the server kindly reminded us of a small but meaningful detail — that the left side of the kimono should always go over the right, as the opposite is traditionally used for the deceased. We appreciated the cultural respect behind that tip.

Beyond the café and restaurant, Osaka Farm also offers cozy cabin accommodations that are available for overnight stays. It’s part of the owners’ extended business — ideal for couples, families, or even solo travelers looking to disconnect and unwind for a night or two in a peaceful setting.

During our chat with the staff, we learned more about the cabin rates and inclusions — and now we’re thinking of coming back for a quiet overnight stay soon!

🌿 Farm Walks and Nature Feels

After eating, we took a slow walk around the area. The space is open, green, and perfect for a peaceful stroll. There’s something really calming about seeing trees sway in the wind while you sip your coffee and just breathe in the fresh air.

It’s not a huge space, but it’s wide and quiet enough to help you slow down — which is exactly what we were looking for that day.
